Hawks and Pacers Battle through Two Overtimes Friday, Settle for 0-0 Draw

Box Score CARY, NC- The Chowan University women's soccer team fought through two overtime periods on Friday evening, but was unable to find the back of the net against William Peace University.  After Friday's 0-0 double overtime draw, the Hawks move to 1-9-1 on the season while the Pacers post a 5-6-2 record on the year. 

Chowan was outshot 25-4 over the course of the competition.  Mari Mitterling and Alyssa Gasperini led the effort for the Pacers with five shots apiece in the contest while Cylin Yarbrough added four shots for William Peace.  Marissa Ghani faced ten shots on goal on Friday and was successful in keeping the Pacers off the scoreboard.

Christine Chubb led the effort for the Hawks with three shots (two on frame) for the Chowan Blue and White.  Rebeccah Noll added one shot in the contest. 

The Hawks return to action on October 14th when they travel to take on Coker College.  Game time is slated for 7:00pm.
