Hawks Edge Mountain Lions

Jordan Radisavljevic's goal secured the 1-0 win for the Hawks on Saturday.
Box Score MURFREESBORO- Persistence paid off for the Chowan University men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.  After nearly seventy minutes of scoreless play, Jordan Radisavljevic found the back of the net for the Hawks and secured a 1-0 win over Concord University.  The Hawks improve to 4-2 on the season while the Mountain Lions slip to 0-4-1 on the year.

Chowan had 12 shots in the first half alone, but were unable to score.  In the 69th minute of play, a corner kick by Christian Funes allowed Radisavljevic to head the ball into the far post, giving the Hawks a 1-0 lead.

The lone goal was all the Hawks would need to finish out the contest with the victory.

The Mountain Lions had six shots in the contest, all of which came in the second half.  Marco Lujan made four saves in goal for the Blue and White to earn the shutout win.
Mitchell Thompson made six saves for Concord.

Chowan returns to action on September 24th when they host William Peace University at 4:30pm.
