CARY, NC- The Chowan University men's cross country team wrapped up the 2014 season with a 10
th place finish at the CIAA Championship on Thursday morning. The Hawks compiled a team score of 269 to finish in 10
th place in the 12 team field.
Virginia Union University took home first place honors with a team score of 26. All five of their scoring runners finished in the top ten. Donovan Mundy led the way for the Panthers with a time of 26:14:12.
Tristan Martin finished first for the Hawks. He trekked the course in 29:49:46 and placed 30
th in the 71 runner field.
Jerrell Ralph followed in 56
th place with a time of 35:28:90.
Robert Williams and
Sasha Kirsanov finished in 59
th and 60
th respectively. Williams crossed the line at the 36:12:90 mark while Kirsanov finished closed behind at the 36:15:17 mark.
Phillip Hempfield rounded out the scoring for the Hawks with a time of 38:31:12. He finished in 64
th place.
Danilo Galovic competed for the Blue and White well. He crossed the finish line in 40:06:00 and in 69
th place.
