Box Score GREENSBORO, NC- The Chowan University women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 setback to Brevard College on Tuesday afternoon.  The Tornados improve to 5-11 on the season with the victory while the Hawks slip to 1-15 on the year. 

Chowan was outshot 27-1 over the course of the afternoon.  Samantha Persinger had the lone shot in the contest for the Blue and White. 

Both teams battled for momentum until late in the contest.  In the 79^th minute of play, Megan Jenkins scored an unassisted goal for Brevard when she chipped the ball past Marissa Ghani from 15 yards out. 

An own goal by the Hawks in the 81th minute of the contest secured the 2-0 win for Brevard. 

Ghani made 11 saves in goal for Chowan.  Jocelyn Springer earned the shut out win for the Tornados in goal.  She made one save for Brevard.

The Hawks return to action on October 29^th when they host Ohio Valley University.  Game time is slated for 2:30pm at Hawks Field.  Senior Morgan Klein will be honored prior to the contest.
