Box Score WILSON, NC- The Chowan University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Barton College Lady Bulldogs on Wednesday evening.  The Hawks fall to 1-13 on the season with the loss while the Lady Bulldogs improve to 9-3-2 with the victory. 

Grace Fehan used Kathryn Smith's rebound in the 13^th minute of play to put Barton ahead 1-0 early in the contest.  The Hawks held the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the remainder of the first half but were unable to muster a shot offensively. 

Just six minutes after halftime, Emily Futral found the back of the net for the Lady Bulldogs when she sent the ball into the left corner off of a failed clear attempt.  In the 66^th minute of the contest, Futral's cross led to a breakaway goal by Lane Brooks to secure the 3-0 win for Barton. 

Marissa Ghani made 18 saves in goal for the Blue and White in the loss.  Carson Moore made two saves in goal for Barton.  The Lady Bulldogs had 44 shots in the contest while the Hawks had two shots, both on goal.  Felice Hewitt and Yolotzin Flores each tallied shots in the loss. 

Chowan returns to action on Saturday when they host Columbia College.  First touch is slated for 2:00pm on Hawks Field.
