Box Score MURFREESBORO- The Chowan University women's soccer team fell short in a 1-0 decision to Coker College on Tuesday afternoon.  The Hawks slip to 1-11 on the season with the setback while the Cobras improve to 4-9 on the year. 

The Cobras and Hawks battled intensely in the first half, but a Chowan foul in the 33^rd minute led to a penalty kick opportunity for Coker.  Jenna Pacyna answered the call with a score for the Cobras to give them a 1-0 edge. 

Both keepers shut out their opponent in the second half.   Marissa Ghani made 14 saves in goal for the Blue and White.  Lizz Morris made three saves for Coker. 
The Hawks were outshot 45-9 on the afternoon. 

Chowan takes the pitch again on October 19^th when they host Barton College.  The contest is slated to begin at 1:00pm on Hawks Field.
