BLUEFIELD, VA- The Chowan University men's tennis team captured a 9-0 victory over Bluefield College on Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks start at their season with a 1-0 mark, while Bluefield will look to recover from the setback. 
 
In doubles competition, Pedro Aiala and Danilo Galovic teamed up for an 8-4 vicotry over Markel Aramberri and Lochlan Kitchen.  Ivan Douobgraev and Farid Hajizada tag teamed Carlton Tuqman and Wesley Carter to put the Hawks ahead 2-0 in the competition.  Sasha Kirsanov and Tristan Martin earned an 8-2 win in doubles play. 
 
The Hawks swept Bluefield in singles competition to earn the 9-0 win.  The hit the court on Sunday at 11:00am as they take on Concord in Athens, WV.
