Box Score MURFREESBORO, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team fell to 1-13 on the season after a 10-0 loss to the visiting Bulldogs of Barton College on Wednesday afternoon.  The Hawks were outshot 45-10 in the contest and Jax Eddleman and Dashaun Smith combined for 14 saves in the loss. 
 
Dante De Luca got things rolling for Barton in the third minute of play when he used Danilo Manto's assist to send the ball into the far post.  Archer Bane's goal off a breakaway in the 21^st minute gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 advantage.  Barton scored an additional three times before the end of the first half.  De Luca, Danilo Matos, Nick Ahiquist each notched a score to contribute to a 5-0 lead as both teams headed into halftime. 
 
De Luca secured his third goal of the contest ten minutes into the second half.  Alex David followed with two scores before Austin Tausch and Patrick Schultze found the back of the net for Barton to wrap up the 10-0 victory. 
 
The Hawks look to recover from the loss on Saturday when they host Bob Jones University at 2:00pm.  Senior Pedro Aiala will be recognized prior to the contest.
