NEWBERRY, SC – The Chowan University Men's Soccer team played Newberry College to a 0-0 tie at the end of the first period, but could not hold on as they fell 4-0 to the Wolves on Tuesday. Newberry now stands at 1-1 on the short season.

Ethan Phelps stopped all six shots on goal in the first period, and made nine more saves in the second, but the Wolves' offensive attack proved too much. Colt Priest got Newberry on the board in the 52
nd minute with a goal off a rebound, and the Wolves would score three more times to take the victory.
Adam Smith registered two shots on goal to lead the Hawks.
Biez Neto also had a shot on goal. Chowan returns to action on Saturday, September 10
th, when they host the Braves of UNC-Pembroke at 4:00pm.
