MURFREESBORO – The Chowan Men's and Women's Tennis teams competed against Averett University Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.  The Chowan men suffered a 0-9 loss while the Hawk women defeated the Cougars 6-3.  Both teams now own identical 3-7 records on the season.  They will return to action tomorrow as they host Limestone College at 3:00pm at the Chowan Tennis Complex.
