MURFREESBORO - Chowan University tennis players Inesa Asatryan and Danilo Galovic were the only winners in the Hawks' first dual match of the 2011-2012 year.  Visiting Shepherd University (WV) came away with 8-1 victories in both the men's and women's competitions on Saturday.   The Hawks will travel to play the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday, October 15^th, and then will play St. Mary's College of Maryland on Sunday, October 16^th.
 
The Chowan men and women both start off their year 0-1.  The Rams men improve to 2-2 while their women move to 8-6.
