WILSON, NC – The Chowan University Women's Soccer team dropped a 5-0 game to Barton College on Thursday, October 13^th.  The Hawks fall to 1-8 on the season, while Barton moves to 3-8.
 
Shauna Anderson made five saves for Chowan, but the Hawks' offense could not match that of Barton.  The Lady Bulldogs got on the board in the fifth minute of play when Taylor Parrish snuck one past Anderson. 
 
Barton would score two more goals in the first period, in the 13^th and 16^th minutes, to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.  Barton outshot the Hawks in the first period 12-1.
 
Breanna Briggs nailed a goal in the 67^th minute, and Parrish scores her second goal of the game in the 89^th minute to seal the 5-0 victory for Barton.
 
Canesha Bradford and Tia Dees each recorded a shot for Chowan.  The Hawks will next take the field on Tuesday, October 18^th, when they host Mount Olive College at 2:00pm
