WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Winston-Salem State's Courtney Medley scored 20 points in route to a 56-42 win over the visiting Chowan University Hawks tonight in CIAA divisional cross over action. The Hawks struggled from the floor, hitting just 29% from the field in the game, while the Lady Rams hit shots at a 48% clip. Chowan falls to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the CIAA while the Lady Rams improve to 8-5 and 3-1 in league play.

Three Chowan players scored in double figures, led by Ransheda Jennings who put up 14 points and five steals. Both Najah Harris and Brittany Nicholson scored 10 points each in the loss.

Medley led the Lady Rams with 20 points and six rebounds.

The Hawks will travel to Shaw University on Saturday for a 6:00pm tip off in their next outing.
