RALEIGH, NC - The women's basketball team dropped their 2009-10 regular season finale at Shaw University tonight, 75-62. After a close first half game, the Lady Bears pulled away from Chowan in the second half to take the win.  Chowan ends the regular season with a 9-16 overall record, 6-14 CIAA record, and 2-8 CIAA West Division record. 

The Hawks shot 35% (20-59) in the game with three players getting double figures. Najah Harris and Ransheda Jennings posted 14 points. Harris dished out six assists in the win while the CIAA's Rookie of the Year Talaya Lynch chipped in 10 points and two steals. 

Shaw wraps up the regular season at 15-11 overall, 10-10 in the CIAA, and 4-6 in the division play. 

The CIAA Tournament is set to start on Tuesday afternoon. Seedings and bracket information will be released on Sunday afternoon.
