DOHLONEGA, GA - The Chowan University women's basketball team dropped to 0-2 on the year after falling to North Georgia State College and University 51-42 this evening at the Chick-Fil-A Classic. Talaya Lynch led the offensive effort with 13 points. She also had nine rebounds on the night.
The Hawks turned the ball over 22 times and lost the battle of the boards 45-35. On the night Chowan shot better from the floor at 33% (16-49) and hit five three pointers. After trailing 25-17 at the half, Chowan couldn't cut away at North Georgia's lead in the second half despite outscoring them 25-23.
Ransheda Jennings came in with nine points, three assists, and four steals while
Najah Harris chipped in seven points in the loss. NGSCU improves to 3-1 on the year while Chowan falls to 0-2.
