CU Men's Soccer Falls Short Against North Greenville

CU's Scott Cullen had 14 stops in goal today
Box Score MURFREESBORO - North Greenville University score a goal in each half of today's men's soccer match to best Chowan 2-0. The Hawks had won their last three out of four matches heading into today's match. Chowan only got off six shots in the match while the Crusaders racked up 36 shots in the game. Chowan falls to 3-11 on the year after today's loss while North Greenville improves to 6-5. 

NGU's Chandler Patterson took a cross from Marcus Krall and sent it far post to get up 1-0 over Chowan in the 32nd minute. Alex Redding scored on an unassited shot near the 60th minute to give the Crusaders and 2-0 lead and eventual win. 

For Chowan, keeper Scott Cullen had 14 saves in goal. Cullen played a tough match in goal for the Hawks, getting several tough stops. Both Adam Smith and Wilfred Amaoko had two shots each in the game. 

Chowan will travel to Barton College on October 21st in their next match. Match time is set for 7:00pm in Wilson, NC.
