BOWIE, MD - After taking back to back CIAA wins last week over Saint Pauls and Elizabeth City State, the Hawks suffered a 70-51 loss on the road to Bowie State this evening. Ten different Lady Bulldogs scored in the game while their defense forced 26 Hawk turnovers. Chowan went into the game with an even overall and league record but came out 6-7 and 4-5 after the final buzzer sounded.
Chowan put three players in double figures with newcomers
Talaya Lynch and
Naomi Walters getting 11 points each. Lynch also pulled down nine rebounds in the game.
Ransheda Jennings was held to 10 points in the game.
Chowan will continue with their road trip with a 5:30pm tip off at Lincoln University on Monday. Afterwards they will have a ten day break before returning to the Helms Center to host Fayetteville State University.
