MOUNT OLIVE, NC - The women's soccer team fell 1-0 at Mount Olive College this evening, dropping them to 1-5 on the season. Brittany Thurlow's score in the 15th minute for the Trojans was all they would need to hand the Hawks the shut out loss.
Tonight's match was the first time that the team had played in over a week after participating in the Columbus State University Classic two weekend's ago. The Hawks played tight with the Trojans but couldn't find the back of the net tonight.
Mount Olive edged the Hawks in the shot category after getting off 15 shots to Chowan's eight shots.
Erin Jackson had two shots on goal while
Meredith McCarthy got off three shots in the match.
Keeper
Kristy Brown allowed one goal and had six stops in the match. The Hawks will travel to Catawba College on Wednesday in a double header with the men's squad. They will play at 5:00pm, followed by the men's team at 7:00pm.
