BUENA VISTA, VA - Chowan came one game closer to evening their overall record after a 77-65 win on the road at Southern Viriginia University this afternoon. The Hawks, now 11-12 overall, had three players score in double figures while also out rebounding the Knights by more than twenty.

Chowan took a 26-15 lead into halftime and went on to score 51 second half points. Chowan handedly won the battle of the boards with 52 total rebounds to Southern Virginia's 31 total rebounds. Chris Kenon paced the Hawks with 18 points on a 5-11 performance, including 3-6 from three point land. Aaron Scott came off the bench to score 13 points while Layth Mansour added 11 points in the win.

The Hawks will travel to Mount Olive in their next match up. Tip off is set for 7:00pm on February 11th in Mount Olive.
