MONTGOMERY, WV -  Despite Joi Hazel's 19 points the Hawks fell to West Virginia Tech University with a final score of 76-60. Tonight's meeting is the second meeting for these two teams this season. Chowan edged West Virginia Tech 78-66 in November for their third win of the season.

The Hawks shot just 37% from the field, hitting 18 of 49 shots taken in the game. Hazel scored a game-high 19 points on 7 of 16 from the floor while dishing out 3 assists and getting 2 steals. Lauryn Perry and AJ O'Bannion each scored 8 points in the loss.

Chowan evens their record at 6-6 after tonight's loss while WVTU improves to 13-3 on the year. Chowan will travel to Kentucky tonight where they will play Campbellsville on Monday at 6:00pm and Lindsay Wilson College on Tuesday at 4:00pm.
