PEMBROKE, NC - The women's soccer team lost their season opening match to 3-0 UNC-Pembroke on the road. The Hawks were out shot 15 to 8 in the match and UNC-P scored their first goal :35 into the match. They added another goal just over seven minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into the half. 

UNC-P added their third goal at the 54 minute mark to take the eventual 3-0 win. Stephanie Montague and Clara Dansiesen each got off 3 shots in the match while Casey Driver and Ashley Bradford tallied one shot each. Tiffany Lee started in goal for Chowan. She gave up three goals and collected 7 total saves. 

The Hawks will open their home season on Monday when they host Barton College at 4:00pm.
