Box Score LAURINBURG, NC - The women's team fell 65-44 to St. Andrews Presbyterian this evening, dropping them to 3-2 on the year. Chowan shot just 28% from the floor in the game while the Knights knocked down 42% from the perimeter to take the win over the visiting Hawks.
Chowan was held to just 17% shooting and 13 points in the first period as St. Andrews took a decisive 34-13 lead into half time. Chowan came out to match the Knights in the second period, matching their numbers, scoring 31 points each. The damage from the first period was too much for the Hawks to overcome as they fell with a final of 65-44.
Chowan had two players in double figures as Keyon Sellers scored 10 points and Tyshaunna Winston scored a team-high 11 points.
The Hawks will travel to North Carolina Wesleyan on Wednesday for a 7:00pm tip off. They will return to the Helms Center on December 5th when they host Mount Olive College at 6:00pm.
