Columbia, SC-The women's soccer team won it's third straight game this weekend as a last minute corner kick lifted the Braves over the Koalas of Columbia College. In the 90th minute, freshman Leah Thomas launched a corner kick across goal finding junior forward Julie Righi for the game-winning goal. The Braves were down 1-0 at the half and remained scoreless until the 84th minute when Rebecca Bullard flicked the ball to Leah Thomas for the score and the 1-1 tie. Thomas connected with Righi on a corner kick for the game-winning goal in the 90th minute. The Braves took 30 shots on goal and held the Koalas to just nine shots in the game.
