Roger Wright rushed for 81 yards and four touchdowns while Jabbar Truitt carried the ball 23 times for 190 yards as Wesley defeated Chowan 35-3 in Atlantic Central Football Conference action.

Wesley took advantage of a Brave turnover deep in Wolverine territory when Wright ran it in from two yards out with 4:30 left in the first quarter to give the Wesley their first score. Steve Azzanesi then capped a five play, 72-yard drive with a one yard plunge with 7:19 left in the second quarter. Wright added touchdown runs of one, 19 , and 20 yards to finish off the Braves.

Chowan had the ball inside the Wolverine 20 three times in the first half, but could only come away with a 20-yard field goal by Justin Trout. Jeremy Forbes had a big day for the Braves catching six balls for 171 yards. Chris Dent threw for 167 yards but was intercepted three times. Lamont Boone led the rushing attack with 70 yards on 16 carries.

The Braves are in action next Saturday as they travel to Newport News to take on the Builders at 1:30 p.m.
