Pond Football Center

In 2014, University administration spearheaded a capital campaign to construct what is now the Pond Football Center. Through the generous donations of former players, alumni, and a very special Chowan graduate, Mr. Charles Pond, the Pond Center became available for football program use in 2014. The modern, totally remodeled building houses the day-to-day operations of the Chowan University football program and is located adjacent to Garrison Stadium.

The 10,000 square foot facility includes a 150-plus person smart technology meeting room with the ability two divide into two units, one for offense and one for defense. There is an office for each member of the football staff that includes up to date technology for game film reviewing and grading, and also three conference rooms. Upon entering the facility, the nicely appointed lobby and reception area greets visitors and features a history of the Chowan football program and its dedicated donors.

The bottom level of the center has been converted into a 2,500 square foot modern weight room and athletic training room. Just outside the Pond Center a patio was put in place to enhance views of the playing field at Garrison Stadium. On game day, donors and Brave Hawks Club patrons have the opportunity to view the game from the patio located on the west end of Garrison Stadium.
