About Garrison Stadium
Garrison Stadium has been home to the Hawks Football program for our fifty years.  In the Sixties, the athletic department and college administrators teamed up to launch a campaign that would create a stadium where the football team could practice and play.  With seating on both sides, the stadium houses up to 5,000 fans and boasts a nicely furnished press box that includes box seating.  In 2007, with the support of some special donors, the playing surface underwent extensive improvements with the addition of field lights, new perimeter fencing, and upgrades to the Bermuda grass field.

The stadium is named after long-time athletic director and head football coach, Jim Garrison.  For over 30 years he roamed the sidelines of the stadium, putting up some very success junior college seasons.  He was a beloved member of the community and father figure and mentor to over 3,000 young men who played for him.  Coach Garrison won over 150 games during his tenure with Chowan with 27 winning seasons.

Garrison Stadium boasts a 130 locker field house just off of the playing field and in close proximity to the football hub, the Pond Center.
