Chowan University Athletics

Teygan Crocco joins the Chowan University football coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant, bringing nearly a decade of coaching experience and a strong background in education. A Florida native, Crocco has coached at multiple levels, including high school, youth football, and now college.

Most recently, Crocco served as the Junior Varsity Head Football Coach at Port St. Lucie High School, where he led his team to an undefeated 5-0 season in 2024 and was named Coach of the Year. In addition to coaching wide receivers for the varsity program and serving as JV offensive coordinator, he has also coached soccer and flag football.

Beyond the field, Crocco has worked as a Leadership Techniques and math teacher, focusing on helping students succeed both academically and personally. His combined experience in teaching and coaching reflects his dedication to student-athlete development.

Crocco holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of Central Florida and is completing his Master’s in Athletic Coaching from Florida State University. Crocco will serve as Chowan’s running backs coach for the upcoming season.
