Chowan University Athletics

Ivory Stallings enters his second year as the Athletics Coordinator for Chowan University's athletic department.
 
The Hattiesburg, MS native, rejoined Chowan University as the new Athletics Coordinator in June 2024, after spending two seasons as a student coach with the women’s basketball team. He also assisted practice planning and implementation with the men’s developmental and varsity squads during his tenure as a student. 

Stallings began his academic journey at Pearl River Community College, in Poplarville, Mississippi.  Ivory then transferred to Chowan University in the fall 2022, where he recently completed his bachelor's degree in Sports Management. He graduated with a perfect grade point average and is currently wrapping up requirements for his M.S. in Organizational Leadership at Chowan University. 

His passion for athletics is shown through his experience being the Graduate Assistant Coach for the women's basketball team. He also held the role of Student Assistant Coach/JV Head Men’s Coach for both the Women’s and Men’s Basketball programs at Chowan.

Ivory’s background and knowledge in sports and leadership positions will contribute to Chowan’s athletic department immensely.

“Ivory is a bright young man with a bright future ahead of him,” stated Patrick Mashuda, Director of Athletics/Compliance. “Ivory will assist with the day-to-day business operations within our department and he will work closely with our staff to ensure travel accommodations for our teams. I think this suits his strengths well and we look forward to working with Ivory as a full time member of our department.”
