Chowan University Athletics

Brenna Schuler enters her fifth year on the Athletic Training Staff and her first as the Director of Sports Medicine. Previously, she spent two years as the Head Athletic Trainer and the first two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Schuler comes to Chowan after pursuing her master’s degree at Gannon. While at Gannon, Schuler worked with the Football, soccer, basketball, and women’s volleyball programs.  Schuler spent time honing her skills working with high school student athletes and several tournaments.  Most recently, Schuler worked as an athletic training student at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Prior to Schuler’s post-graduate work, she was a gymnastics coach and summer camp counselor at Meadowlands Gymnastics.  Schuler was a four-year member of the Gannon Acrobatics & Tumbling program where she was named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll, two-time First Team All-Mountain East Conference, a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, and earned Scholar Athlete honors.

The Corapolis, Pa. native graduated with honors from Gannon with a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science in 2020.  She would receive her master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2021.
