Alison Beasley enters her first season with the Chowan Women’s Basketball program as an assistant coach.
Beasley comes to Chowan after spending five seasons at the helm of the Wake Tech Eagles program. At Wake Tech, Beasley posted a 74-41 overall record. Beasley also spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Tech.
During the 2022-23 season, Beasley posted a 12-16 overall record with an appearance in the NJCAA Region X Quarterfinals.
The 2021-22 season was the best in Wake Tech’s history after Beasley led the Eagles to a 25-4 overall record and a 17-1 conference record. The Eagles won 17 straight contests to start the season on their way to a Region X Regular Season Title and the program’s first appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament. Beasley helped Anna Baraldi to a Second Team All-Region selection.
In 2020-21, Beasley and the Eagles saw their season canceled due to CoVID-19.
Beasley saw the Eagles take a huge step forward in 2019-20 posting a 21-7 overall record and claimed the program’s first-ever Region X Championship and would have appeared in the National Tournament before having the season halted due to the pandemic. Beasley guided Anna Vann to being named NJCAA All-American honors along with Region X Player of the Year and All-Region honors.
During her first season at the helm, the Eagles posted a 16-14 overall record in 2018-19.
Beasley started her coaching career at Wake Tech as an assistant during the 2014-15 season under her mentor, Barry Street, former Wake Tech Athletic Director and Women’s Basketball coach.
The Durham, N.C. native played at Wake Tech for two seasons (2010-2013) before receiving her bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire in Sport Management in 2018. Beasley would go on to receive her Master’s from Liberty in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
Alison was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty-Under 30.
