Sarah Ghaffoor

Sarah Ghaffoor enters her fourth season with the Chowan Women's Soccer program as an assistant coach.

The 2020-21 season that was pushed to the Spring semester was a successful one as Ghaffor helped the program to one of their best records in program history with an 8-2-1 overall record and 5-1-1 mark in Conference Carolinas play.  The Hawks appeared in the Conference Carolinas Semifinals, before falling to defending league champion.  Ghaffor helped boast seven players on the All-Conference team.

During the 2019 season, Ghaffoor helped produce three Conference Carolinas All-Conference selections and an USCA All-Region selection.

Ghaffoor returns to her alma mater after spending a season as the Assistant Coach at Mercer County CC.  She also helped as a Business Development Associate and Soccer coach at The Field Sports Complex and West Windsor and Plainsboro Soccer Association.

During her time at Chowan, Sarah played in 30 matches during her two year career for the Hawks.  She scored one goal and was a team captain.  Off the pitch, Sarah was a member of Alpha Chi, Phi Epsilon Kappa, and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Societies.  Ghaffoor was selected for the Division II Academic Achievement Award in 2016 and made the Chowan President’s List.

Prior to the Blue and White, Ghaffoor played at Mercer County CC where she was named to the Garden State Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and NJCAA Region XIX All-Academic Team.

Ghaffoor graduated from Chowan in 2017 with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science.  Sarah also received an Associate’s degree from Mercer County CC in Exercise Science.
