Chowan University Athletics

Charlotte Dinkins enters her fourth year as the Internal Operations assistant at Chowan.

During the 2018-19 season, Charlotte served as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country coach.  Dinkins coached Lela Knight to the program’s first-ever CIAA All-Conference selection.

Dinkins comes to Chowan after spending two years at Cedar Crest College as the Assistant to the Athletic Director.  During her time at Cedar Crest, Dinkins oversaw game day operations for all nine varsity sports.  Dinkins oversaw athletics work study and served as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to Cedar Crest, Dinkins spent two years at Northern Illinois University as Game Day Operations Assistant, where she assisted in all aspects of game day operations for all 16 varsity programs.

Before NIU, Charlotte served as a Youth Series Running Coach for the New York Road Runners Club for one year after graduating from Lincoln University (Pa.).

While at Lincoln (Pa.), Dinkins assisted the Director of Compliance and Director of Internal Operations with day-to-day tasks.  Dinkins was a four-year member and captain of the cross country and Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field team.

Charlotte graduated from Lincoln (Pa.) in 2012 with a Bachelors degree in Health Science.  Dinkins received her Masters degree from Northern Illinois in 2014 in Sport Management.

Dinkins is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and resides in the Murfreesboro area.
