Fredrick Alexander joins the Chowan Football staff as an assistant coach in charge of the defensive line.
Alexander comes to Chowan after spending three seasons at Edward Waters as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line coach. Coach Alexander helped the program transition from NAIA to Division II along with the most wins in a decade. Alexander helped coach nationally-ranked Dartrelle Rolle.
Prior to EWU, Alexander spent a season at Texas College as the Defensive Line coach before three seasons at Oklahoma Panhandle State.
Coach Alexander started his coaching career at Clark Atlanta in 2011 as a Defensive Line Coach. Alexander spent three seasons on staff with the Panthers.

The Delray Beach, Fla. native graduated from Clark Atlanta in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Commutation.
Alexander resides in the Murfreesboro area with his wife, Iquana, and four children (Aja, Asya, Brielle, Hayden).
