Erik Pratt enters his first season as an assistant football coach.  Pratt will assume the role of offensive line coach.

Pratt comes to Chowan after spending a season with Wingate as the offensive line coach.  Pratt helped the Bulldogs to an appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.  Pratt helped guide Andrew Strickland to an AFCA Second Team All-American selection, D2Football Honorable Mention All-American, Don Hansen Second Team All-Region, and a SAC First Team selection.  Pratt helped Connor Baroniounas to a SAC First Team selection.  The offense ranked fourth in the SAC in total offense, while third in rushing, and second in passing.

Prior to Wingate, Pratt spent a semester as the Strength and Conditioning Intern at Georgia Southern working with the football program.

Before his stint with the Eagles, Pratt spent two seasons as the Defensive Line coach at East Stroudsburg.  In 2016, Pratt helped two lineman earn All-PSAC honors.

Pratt played three seasons (2013-2015) in the Professional Indoor Football League for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks and the Harrisburg Stampede.

Prior to his professional career, Pratt appeared in 35 games playing the guard and tackle positions along the offensive line during his four year career at West Chester.  Pratt and company was in the top-five in the league in fewest sacks allowed during his career.

Pratt would receive his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from East Stroudsburg in 2016 following his professional career.  Erik would go on to receive his Master’s in Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning in 2019 from ESU.
