Prior to each home event select members of the Chowan University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee read aloud via public address the following preamble: 

The Chowan University Department of Athletics encourages and promotes sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, and spectators. Profanity, racial or ethnic comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student athletes, coaches, or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition.
