BRISTOL, TN. – The Chowan University women's soccer team secured a 1-0 conference victory over King University on Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening half, the Hawks broke through in the second half to get on the board. Laura Hulme connected with Meah Cuddihy, who found the back of the net at the 65:12 mark to give Chowan the advantage. The goal marked Cuddihy's fourth of the season, while Hulme collected her fourth assist.
The Chowan defense made the one-goal advantage stand for the remainder of the match, holding King scoreless to secure the Hawks' third conference victory of the season.

Along with Cuddihy's goal and Hulme's assist, Hulme added a shot of her own. Ellis Baxter recorded two shots on goal, while Addisen Palmer added one shot on frame.
Kylee Smith played all 90 minutes in goal for the Hawks, recording five saves to record a shutout and help Chowan secure the 1-0 victory.
