MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2024-2025 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of February 1st - 7th, Mckenzie Misenheimer from the CU softball team and RJ Wilson from the men's basketball team have earned honors for their efforts on their respective teams during the past week of play.

Mckenzie Misenheimer | Junior | #2 | Outfield | Softball | Rockwell, N.C.

Mckenzie Misenheimer has earned the Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week honor in recognition of her performances on the field. In CU softball's opening four games of the season, Misenheimer has been on fire, going 6-for-10 at the plate, including two home runs. She's driven in seven RBIs, crossed the plate seven times, and added three stolen bases. The junior is currently batting .600.

RJ Wilson | Senior | #33 | Forward | Men's Basketball | Raleigh, N.C.

Senior men's basketball player RJ Wilson has been named the Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week, honoring his performances on the court. In the Hawks' win over Erskine, Wilson totaled nine points, six assists, and four rebounds. Against Mount Olive, he notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while also adding a block and a steal to his stat line.
