MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2025-2026 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.
 
For the week of  September 24 – October 1, Malique Frazier and Demarcus Carroll of the Chowan football team, have been recognized for their standout performances over the past week of competition.
 
Malique Frazier | Wide Receiver | #11 | Graduate Student | Football | Macon, Ga.
Frazier turned in a standout performance against Shorter University, hauling in four receptions for 187 yards, highlighted by a 67-yard catch resulting in a touchdown.

Demarcus Carroll | Linebacker | #41 | Junior | Football | Fayetteville, N.C.
Carroll led the defense against Shorter, recording a game-high 15 tackles — nine solo and six assisted — while adding 2.5 tackles for loss.
