In a defensive battle until the final horn, the Bobcats edged the Hawks with total shots, getting off 17 in the match to the Hawks 8. The lone score of the match came at the 19' mark of the first period when Kylee Smith was called for a foul on a Bobcat player inside of the goal box. The foul set LMC's Brooke Allen up for a penalty kick that she connected on. Both defenses went to work to hold each other out of goal for the remainder of match play.
Kylee Smith tallied nine stops in frame for the Hawks. Lily Harrison and Jayda Dubeck got off two shots each in the match, including Harrison's last second shot on goal that was saved by an outstretched LMC goal keeper.
