MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Lacrosse team saw their season come to a close after falling to their rival Barton in a pre-tournament elimination game to conclude the season on Wednesday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Charity Brown, Naila Smith, Grace Taylor, JaCinda Griffin, Ariel Johnson, Patricia Meador, and Kashara Simpson were honored prior to the contest.

Grace Taylor led the Hawks with five points recording three goals and two assists.  Gracie Timken added four points with one goal and a team-high three assists.

Cameryn Barrow notched two goals, with Sarai Sanders chipping in with a one goal and Charity Brown tallied one assist.

MarDawn Rawls tallied five caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Ariel Johnson picked up 13 saves, while Patricia Meador added four saves on the day.

SEASON RECAP

Chowan concludes the season with a 6-7 overall record and 3-6 mark in the Conference Carolinas.  The Hawks finished seventh in the league standings.
