MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University Hawks faced off against Barton College Bulldogs on November 1, 2024, at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex. The Hawks were narrowly defeated with a final score of 2-1. Chowan falls to 4-9-3 overall and 2-7-3 in Conference Carolinas. The Bulldogs move to 5-6-5 overall and 2-5-4 in conference.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The game saw an intense first half with both teams locked at a 1-1 scoreline. Abigail Simon delivered a corner kick that was perfectly placed, allowing Mya Turner to execute a header into the left post. However, Barton's Hannah Johnson scored a decisive game-winning goal at the 69:48 mark with a powerful 30-yard free kick, securing Barton's victory.

Chowan's goalie, Kirsten Petersen, made three saves throughout her 90 minutes between the posts.
