MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan men's soccer team secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory against Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon. With this result, the Hawks' record improves to 3-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play, while the Lions fall to 2-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.

The Lions kicked off the scoring in the 12th minute of the game with a goal from Luciano Rundles, assisted by Tomas Pollacchi. The Hawks responded quickly, with Charley Leech finding the net in the 21st minute, assisted by Sam Deacon. After halftime, Chowan broke the tie with a goal from Bradley Binns in the 77th minute, assisted by Robbie Deighan. Matty Doyle sealed the victory for the Hawks with a goal in the 84th minute, also assisted by Deacon.
Chowan outshot Emmanuel in the match, firing off 20 shots compared to Emmanuel's 13. Chase Jansen played a solid 63:12 as goalkeeper, recording 4 saves, while Alexis Enriquez contributed 26:48 in goal for the Hawks, making 2 saves.
