INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Chowan was outshot 21-4 on the afternoon leading to 10 saves by Allison Traub.

Nicole Mejia tallied the lone shot on frame in the contest for the Hawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Both teams took the opening 15 minutes of action to feel one another out as neither side recorded a shot.

Allison Traub was forced to make a save in the 19' as a free kick found the head of a Saints attacker and was corralled by Traub.

In the 23', Regan Jackson had an attempt blocked.  Limestone would break the scoreless draw in the 36' as a Saint midfielder sent a volley from distance and slid underneath the crossbar and off the hands of Allison Traub for the opening tally.

Second Half:

Allison Traub made a save in the early seconds of the half before the counter-attack by the Saints proved to be enough for the second goal of the match for the Saints.

Limestone continued to pressure posting back-to-back shots on goal in the 53'.

The Hawks had a strong chance in the 57' to get on the board as Sierra Gonzalez had a shot miss to the right and Monae Moore had her attempt blocked in front of goal.

Nicole Mejia tallied a shot on goal in the 69' for the final shot attempt for the Hawks.
