Hawks Soccer Set To Compete On Wednesday

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Soccer teams compete today, Wednesday, September 15 as the Women's team hosts regionally-ranked Catawba, while the Men's team hits the road to take on league opponent Mount Olive.

WOMEN'S SOCCER NOTES

Chowan enters the day with a 0-3-0 record.  The Hawks will look to break the scoreless drought after coming up scoreless in the past two matches.

Allison Traub has kept the Hawks in matches this season with 30 saves on the season and a career-high 13 saves against North Greenville over the weekend.

SCOUTING THE INDIANS

Catawba, ranked fourth in the region, has a 2-0-1 record and is coming off a 1-1 draw against nationally-ranked Columbus State this weekend.

Hannah Dunn paces the Indians with four goals and one assist.  Dunn was recently selected as the SAC Offensive Player of the Week.

MEN'S SOCCER UPDATES

Chowan checks in with a 2-1-0 overall record and a 1-0-0 league record.  The Hawks are still receiving votes in the national poll while ranked fourth in the region.

Toby Sims, Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week, leads the team with 3 goals.  Harri Lovett paces the team with three assists.  London Williams and Tren Drexhage have scored once this season.

STOPPING THE TROJANS

Mount Olive is 2-2-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in league action.  The Trojans are coming off a 4-1 victory over Southern Wesleyan this weekend.

Mustafa Nadeem leads the Trojans with three goals and two assists.  Alfie Pope has two goals and two assists to help the offense.
