FLORENCE, S.C. – The remarkable season of the Chowan Women's Soccer team ended in the 2020-21 Conference Carolinas Spring Women's Soccer Championship at the hands of reigning champion Mount Olive, 2-0, on Friday.

The Hawks registered four shots in the contest with three shots on goal compared to 13 shots with eight on goal for Mount Olive.
Allison Traub registered six saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
Mackenzie Pruitt recorded a shot on goal that was saved in the sixth minute. Mount Olive went on the counter attack on the keeper's kick and scored the opening goal in the lower left corner.
Michelle Maksimovic looked for the equalizer in the 10' but was denied.
Allison Traub saved two shots in the half as Regan Jackson's attempt sailed high to end the half.
Second Half:
Sabrina Henderson started the attack for the Hawks in the 49' as her shot was corralled.
Mount Olive looked for an insurance goal as Allison Traub was called on to make three saved in a two minute span.
The Trojans found the insurance goal in the 86' to take the match 2-0.
2020-21 SEASON RECAP
Chowan posted their best season since 2017 when the team went 12-3-2. The Hawks posted a program best seven on the Conference Carolinas All-Conference team with a program best four First Team selections.
