FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Tennis team picked up their first win of the season with a 7-2 decision against DIII Methodist on Saturday afternoon.

Chowan picked up wins in all phases of the match with the two "losses" coming in positions in which the Hawks did not have a player to compete.

Julieta Lecce trailed 4-1 in the third set before rallying to win 7-5.  Arina Karbolina and Asuntha Fleming also need third set victories to take their match.
