HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Chowan Women's Tennis team battled against Slippery Rock on the second day of the Hilton Head Spring TennisFest before succumbing to a 5-2 loss.

Doubles:

Julieta Lecce and Stephanie Fernandez picked up a win at the No. 2 doubles position with a 6-2 win.  Arina Karbolina and Alicia Romero-Gomez would fall 6-4 at No. 1.

Singles:

Stephanie Fernandez tallied a win at the No. 2 position with a 6-3, 6-3 win.  Alicia Romero-Gomez followed suit with a 6-1, 7-6 victory.

Margarita Lopareva battled back to take the second set 6-4 prior to falling in the third set.
