SALISBURY, N.C. – The Chowan Women's Bowling team built off the CIAA Event II with another strong performance on day one of the CIAA Round-Up.

INSIDE THE LANES
Chowan battled in day one of the CIAA Round-Up with several strong performances. Baylee Laxton rolled a season high 171 in game three and averaged 149.2 per contest. Laxton also rolled a 168 in the loss to Johnson C. Smith
Jasmine Basnight produced a total pin fall of 586 with her best game against Livingstone with a score of 131. Basnight stayed consistent through the day with an average of 117.2 with another strong outing against Fayetteville State with a pin count of 129.
Nia Foy posted an average of 112.0 on the opening day rolling a 127, 126, and 124.

Chowan will continue day two of the CIAA Round-Up on Saturday with the last day of traditional play before the final day in Baker Play on Sunday.
