HOW IT HAPPENED

First Half:

Carolina Lucci would tally the first shot of the contest but would be saved by the Bulldog keeper.

Wingate would be the beneficiary of a fortunate bounce as a cross in the 13' would bounce off the crossbar and cross the end line before redirecting off the far post for the 1-0 lead.

The Bulldogs maintained the possession for most of the opening frame.  Wingate pushed their lead to 2-0 with 22.9 seconds remaining in the half.

Second Half:

After a pair of shots by both sides the contest slowed until a foul near midfield in the 64'.  Sierra Gonzalez would take the free kick and send it towards cage.  The Bulldog keeper would come off her line and try to punch the ball away.  The attempt would go straight in the air and fall to the foot of Stephanie Quintanilla to finish into the bottom left corner to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Lynzie Hulle would make two saves in the final stretch.

Wingate added an insurance goal in the 87' as a cross would find a wide open Bulldog, who was able to finish back across to the far post.
