HOW IT HAPPENED
After earning 76 points as a team, Meredith College won the meet title. North Carolina Wesleyan took home second for the women after recording 93 points, while Mary Baldwin University secured a third place finish after collecting 102 points as a team.
Barton's Isabel Reed won individuals after crossing the line in 24:51.4.
Leading the Hawks was
Lela Knight who was short just four seconds from a 10
th place finish. Knight clocked a time of 27:43.6 in the 6k for Chowan.
Elizabeth Stokes ran a 6k personal best after posting a 32:22.6 in competition. Stokes averaged a 8:41.0 to finish in 34
th overall.
Also competing for the Hawks was
Keyera Wilkerson,
Eryka Harrison, and
Ravine Billy. Wilkerson ran a 41:18.6, Harrison timed a 48:50.6 while Billy crossed the line in 48:50.7 on Saturday.

Chowan will travel to Due West, S.C. on September 28
th to make an appearance in the Erskine Flying Fleet.
